The 'Blue Hard' Komame is an excellent general purpose saw for cabinetmaking and carpentry, the progressive rip teeth on one side of the blade and crosscut teeth on the other cover a good percentage of eventualities and for unfinished surfaces you can even flex the blade slightly and use it as a flush cutting saw. They have especially fine tooth pattern on one side which leaves an extremely fine surface finish and rip teeth on the other with the cutting edge hardened to HV900-1200. It cuts with the traditional Japanese pull stroke. Each tooth is impulsed hardened to insure consistent and long lasting edge.. A unique feature of the Seiun Saku saws is handle can be tilted in relation to the blade which allows access into areas otherwise awkward or impossible to reach. It features a comfortable traditional rattan wrapped paulownia handle.
